Please note that this role requires a full-time presence on-site in the Groningen area.

Turner & Townsend is looking for an exceptional BIM Coordinator to join our growing team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and growing construction team on a large-scale project in the Netherlands. 

We are recognised as global experts in the development and deployment of BIM on major projects and programmes, delivering client outcomes which mutually benefit the supply chain and add value to projects. 

As BIM Coordinator you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and supporting our team in the implementation of BIM on a major project in Groningen, being on-site full-time;
  • Authoring of key BIM documentation such as Asset Information Requirements, Employer Information Requirements and where applicable, BIM Execution Plans.
  • Assessing project teams BIM competency, advising the development of the project BIM Execution Plans and approving on behalf of Client where necessary.
  • Assure project BIM standards are being followed by project stakeholders reporting key risks and effective mitigations.
  • Lead model assurance activities including; definition of strategy and approach, model analysis, technical and plain language reporting.
  • Research, develop and implement areas of new technology, process and emerging best practices.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone to be an enthusiastic, proactive self-starter with well-developed communications and analytical skills and who brings the following experience:

  • At least 5 year’s relevant experience in a BIM environment;
  • Previous experience working in a BIM environment on a major project, programme or across a large portfolio would be ideal;
  • Have an understanding of design, BIM and procurement, and its application in planning and construction management;
  • Familiar with ISO 19650 and other relevant local standards/guidelines;
  • Excellent Communicator – ability to provide clear guidance to the whole project team, in order to coordinate a successful outcome;
  • Experience in writing clear, concise requirements and documentation;
  • Proven systematic approach to problem solving and model development protocols;
  • Proven client facing experience;
  • Expected to be numerate and computer literate, competent in ‘model checking' and ‘model authoring’ software’s.
