Minimum Qualifications:
APRN:
Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program with a Master's in Nursing
Valid Licenses as a Registered Nurse and APRN by the State of Arkansas
PA:
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
Valid license as a PA by the State of Arkansas
PLUS:
Must be able to operate all typical nursing equipment essential to performing the job (i.e., scales, procedure equipment, needles, blood pressure equipment, and EKG machines).
Must have normal communication and sensory requirements.
Ability to comply with CDC Universal Precautions when indicated.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in a surgical setting
Prescriptive authority and a DEA license must be obtained after hire.

Responsibilities:
Extend the patient care and administrative services of the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences physicians.
Work autonomously, as well as, in collaboration with a variety of individuals to diagnose and manage patients' health care problems; and will serve as a health care resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate.
Coordinate the multidisciplinary care of patients, facilitating all necessary consults, assuring that care is timely and appropriate.
Other duties may be assigned to this position.
