General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems (GD-OTS), a premier provider military weapon systems to the U.S. Department of Defense and allied nations, has an opening for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Saco, ME team in a hybrid work environment. The Engineer I:  Performs engineering work in operations, production, construction or maintenance environments | Responsibilities are within the Engineering Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines

Major Position Responsibilities

  • Applies standard engineering techniques to design, analyze, test, maintain, repair, or improve products, components, or assemblies.
  • Analyzes, develops and evaluates systems. 
  • Improves and maintains current systems or creates brand new projects. 
  • Designs and drafts blueprints, visits systems in the field and manages projects.
  • Applies engineering techniques and analyses within the scope of the assignment. 

Basic Qualifications

Required Education:  Associates Degree and 0-3 years experience

Preferred Education:  Bachelor's Degree

Discipline:  Engineering Degree required

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:  Oral and written communication. Analytical thinking. Critical thinking skills. Problem solving skills. Mathematic skills. Computer skills. Technical expertise.

 

Travel Requirements:  Less than 25% travel likely
