Responsibilities

Position Summary

A CommonSpirit Health Nurse Resident is a new graduate direct clinical care registered nurse (RN) who continues to develop nursing knowledge skills abilities and behaviors introduced in formal education as they transition into practice. They are expected to demonstrate the appropriate competency in both core and functional areas listed below.

Progression is expected in the areas of leading through mission vision and values patient/customer focus taking ownership health care knowledge teamwork clinical performance improvement service excellence decision making and critical thinking and patient safety.

Qualifications

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; 0-12 months of professional nursing (RN) experience
  • Licensure: Active California License as a Registered Nurse (RN) BLS certification - American Heart AssociationACLS

Preferred: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN)
