Visa is investing in its Global Product Design Team to help support its growing digital product portfolio. Visa Global Product Design is comprised of seven specializations: Product Design, Content Design, Research, Design Engineering, Accessibility, Design Operations and Design Strategy. Product Design is looking for a Design Manager to join our team.

In this role, you will manage a team and model excellent UX principles. The Design Manager is a people leader responsible for designing usable, accessible and engaging user experiences for Visa's digital product line.
Role responsibilities include:
Design usable, accessible and engaging digital experiences for the web and mobile
Own and make design decisions based on a thorough understanding of contemporary user-centered design principles
Exercise independent judgment with minimal direction from supervisor
Collaborate with business partners and build upon their vision using sound UX principles
Mentor and provide guidance to junior staff
Responsible for the strategic oversight of product lines
Be an advocate for our users
Capture requirements, design flows, wireframes, testable prototypes and fully fleshed out designs
Document your designs and consult with engineers to ensure they are built and function as intended
Effectively demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
Essential Functions
Proficiency designing and developing prototypes using Figma
Proficiency designing high-fidelity mockups using Figma
Subject Matter Expertise in interaction design
Experience working with SCRUM in an Agile environment a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including thorough and methodical attention to detail
Fully fluent in English and able to understand and be easily understood in English
Ability to communicate concepts and recommendations confidently to a variety of audiences
Ability to self-manage time and work independently or as part of a team
An online portfolio that demonstrates outstanding product and ecosystem thinking
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Basic Qualifications
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
Bachelor's Degree in Human Factors, Design, Psychology, Sociology or related field
