About the team:

The Payments Intelligence team optimizes billions of payments through advanced analytics and machine learning. We build and operate a real-time data platform that powers revenue growth, fraud prevention, and enhanced customer experiences across Payments, Directed Spend, Checkout, and promotions. Our team is responsible for developing and deploying ML models that improve payment authorization rates, strengthen payment resiliency, and increase the effectiveness of promotions and rewards programs. We also drive adoption of Directed Spend by providing actionable insights.

Our team supports cross divisional programs for Transactional Systems as a part of the Global Tech organization.

What you will bring:

  • Min of 11+ years of relevant work in product and people management, owning and driving end-to-end product roadmap
  • Experience in payments or retail or financial services industry as technical product manager.
  • Experience in leveraging data science (AI and ML) to build platform resiliency and drive revenue growth, customer success.
  • Managing multiple stakeholders and influencing with an ability to lead, drive consensus and deliver in a matrix organization.
  • Passion for technology, willingness to dive deep into the technical products Walmart is building, and commitment to learning and expanding technical knowledge
  • An understanding of ML platforms, large-scale systems, and service-oriented architecture
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly and convincingly to a wide range of audiences., manage tradeoffs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with internal and external partners.
  • Ability to dig into data and story tell based on the analysis. Build compelling business cases and ROIs and proactively drive business insights and optimizations.
  • Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly and understand how to drive a high level of focus and excellence with a strong, talented, opinionated team.
  • High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously

What you will do:

  • Bringing Passion to ideate, plan, and ensure customer privacy is at the forefront of all we do.
  • Demonstrated experience in analyzing large datasets and developing dashboards to derive insights. Comfortable with SQL or a programming language.
  • Conducting industry and competitive analysis – we aim to be best in class.
  • Partnering with various stakeholders across the organization.
  • Developing and implementing process and tools – you will manage the establishment of a new way of managing product imagery at Walmart.
  • Defining vision and strategies for product content creation at Walmart, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying opportunities, building business cases, and gaining alignment in multiple internal and external stakeholder communities.
  • Building collaborative relationships with key partners by driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating, and prioritizing implementation milestones, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership.
  • Providing overall direction by analyzing business objectives and customer needs.
  • Building a team environment by partnering to solve problems and staying focused till there is a solution.
  • Building team, developing & leading associates across multiple geographic locations.
  • Being decisive regarding expanding or shutting parts of the imagery operation based on business need and efficiency.
