Waterford Upstart provides four-year-old children with access to the highest form of academic support in their early education at no cost to participants. It offers personalized education and coaching, a computer and internet if needed, and adaptive education software. Our Summer Operations Associates play an important role in helping us achieve our organizational mission and providing an excellent experience to all families!
Our summer is split up into two halves: Prep Season and Event Season
During Prep Season, Summer Operations Associates will be working in our office in Taylorsville, Utah, doing a variety of tasks to prepare for Event Season. We will use this time to team up with other departments, receive training for Events, and perform various administrative duties. These tasks are often repetitive in nature. You will also help run our End of year Celebration events during this season. You can expect to work four 10-hour shifts each week (to total 40 hours a week) during the first half of the summer. Prep Season shifts are from 7:30 AM - 6:00 PM Monday - Thursday.
During Event Season, you will travel around the state of Utah running Family Orientation Events for our participants. This will involve a high level of interaction with both parents and children, along with presenting to caregivers and entertaining children during the events. You can expect to work four 8-10 hour shifts each week (totaling 35 - 40 hours a week) during the second half of the summer. Event season shifts are from Tuesday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays and varied start and end times each day. You can also expect a couple of overnight trips during the Event Season. Due to the nature of running events, Associates will have very limited time off during this season.
This position will run from June 2 - the end of August.

A $100 bonus will be given to Associates after their first six weeks of work are completed.
