This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are seeking a UI Engineer to design, develop, and implement exceptional user interfaces for web applications using modern web technologies. In this role, you will collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to create seamless and engaging user experiences. You will be responsible for building, testing, and deploying web applications, integrating APIs, and ensuring optimal performance across platforms and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement high-quality user interfaces for web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and stakeholders to gather requirements, own the user experience, develop wireframes, and create high-fidelity prototypes.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations, ensuring smooth communication between front-end and back-end systems, as well as third-party services.
  • Build, test, and deploy web applications using frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Next.js.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve UI-related issues, ensuring a consistent and optimal user experience across multiple platforms and devices.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to coding standards, and deploy/debug applications using platforms like Vercel.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in UI engineering, with a focus on API integration, data visualization, and web app development.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, along with experience in modern front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Vue.js, or Next.js.
  • Hands-on experience with RESTful and gRPC APIs, API integration, and familiarity with JSON, XML, and OAuth.
  • Knowledge of back-end technologies such as Python and experience with server-side frameworks like FastAPI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and build/deployment platforms like Vercel.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality user experiences.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
  • Experience working with global teams.
