Copywriter - APAC

The 1000heads Social Media team is a proud, powerful collective of social media obsessives, driven by the desire to deliver world-class editorial + social conversation around some of the world’s most impressive brands. We have strong social strategies that bring people together online in rich, empowered communities that are co-owned by brands and the people that engage with them.

SUMMARY OF ROLE

This position is part of the creative and social teams at 1000heads APAC, which is based out of offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Tokyo and Kuala Lumpur. The role offers the opportunity to work closely with the social experts in our community, relationships, tech, data and account management teams. A solid understanding of social platforms, social behaviours, and relevant modern social content techniques are an important foundation to perform well in this role.

 

Ownership and passion are key at 1000heads: this role suits someone with an insatiable drive to create award winning work. While the majority of our current clients request services provided in English, as our team continues to expand across the Asia-Pacific region, we are increasingly building our credentials in key markets such as Australia, SEA, India and Japan.

 

The responsibilities within this specific role requires a background and interest in technology with emphasis on the corporate world.  We are looking for someone who has a working knowledge of technology and is comfortable writing and talking about current tech topics, such as networking and IT security.

 

To be successful in this role, you should have excellent web content writing skills and experience advertising on multiple social networks as well as familiarity in promotional product marketing. Ultimately, you will ensure we maintain a strong online voice and brand consistent with our client’s marketing goals.

  • Work closely with our creative and social teams to bring to life amazing ideas and beautiful copy
  • Write, and edit, engaging posts for various social networks, including LinkedIn, WeChat, Line, Instagram and YouTube
  • Write long form copy as needed on behalf of our clients, and help articulate our message during pitch processes
  • Optimise social media posts (language, tone, message) based on our target audience’s behaviours
  • Coordinate with internal teams to create advertising posts (e.g. for events, open roles and product releases)
  • Apply advertising techniques to boost brand awareness, like promotions and competitions
  • Be client facing and comfortable to lead discussion with client regarding TOV and brand perspective
