The ideal candidate will reside within the Richmond, Virginia area and will cover a multistate territory that includes: VA, DC, and MD
Install, maintain, and repair Agilent Chromatography and Mass Spectroscopy systems, including hardware, software, and networking products.
Diagnose and resolve product performance issues to ensure minimal disruption to customer operations.
Advise customers on preventive maintenance to enhance system performance and efficiency.
Deliver coordinated solutions, including peripherals, communications, operating systems, and application software.
Train customers and other field engineers on system use and standard processes.
Maintain clear communication and provide outstanding customer service.
Travel regularly to various customer sites and work with a diverse clientele.
Job Requirement: Meet Agilent approved customer/vendor credentialing requirements necessary to gain site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by customer/vendor and may include, but are not limited to: post-employment background checks, various forms of drug testing, vaccinations, fingerprinting, proof of valid identification, and/or adherence to customer-specific substance abuse programs. Your consent to participate in customer requested screening is a requirement of this position.
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or equivalent degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biotechnology, or a related field. Validated experience may be considered in place of a degree.
1-2 years proven experience in a field service role or as an end-user of analytical equipment.
Experience in Chromatography (LC-GC); Mass Spectrometry experience is helpful.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a customer-facing environment
Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Familiarity with Agilent solutions is a plus!
Valid driver’s license and ability to meet credentialing requirements for customer site access.
A company vehicle will be provided for the role.
Daily Travel within the territory. Estimated travel (40%)

In the US, this position is eligible for choice of company car or reimbursement for personal vehicle usage.The full-time equivalent pay range for this position is $33.23 - $51.92/hr plus eligibility for bonus, stock and benefits. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
