POSITION OVERVIEWAn industry-leading technology company, Alarm.com is seeking an inspired and hardworking individual to join our Creative Services team as a mid-level Motion Graphic Designer. This individual will work directly with the Video Production Manager and team to fulfill the audio/visual needs of various Alarm.com departments. These videos will introduce new products and services, explain installation and configuration procedures, present user testimonials and recruit future employees.RESPONSIBILITIESThe Motion Graphics Designer's primary job responsibilities will include:To design and produce digital animations and motion graphics for various projects, such as marketing videos, explainer videos, advertisement materials, social media/web content, and conference animated displays. Prepare static design concepts and storyboards from script or project briefs. Create digital assets, logo animations, and product animations. Video edit various projects from start to completion. Support the Visual Design team (web/print) when needed. REQUIREMENTS 3-4 years of professional motion graphics creation and animation experience. Portfolio demonstrating motion graphics, design, and creative editing skills. Proficiency with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, Illustrator, and Photoshop. Skilled at creating custom motion graphics and animations utilizing Adobe After Effects. Experience creating character animations, typography and icon and design-based animations. Has excellent communication skills. 2D animation skills required, 3D animation skills a plus. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS Team player with an upbeat, positive attitude. Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail are a must. Great communication skills. Highly motivated, self-starter who can work independently and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment, while staying aligned with corporate goals. Ability to take critique, criticism, and instruction well and apply suggestions appropriately. Capable of self-managing but can also work well as part of a collaborative team.
