Powerhouse Arts is seeking a highly skilled Fabrication & Installation Specialist to join the Public Art department.

Skills

2-years fabrication experience in any field
Expert in one or more of the following crafts: CNC operation, carpentry, metalwork, painting, designing, drawing, art-handling, textiles, lighting and electronics, etc.
Experience using any kind of lift (forklift, scissor-lift, boom-lift, etc.)

Responsibilities

Artwork fabrication, in-shop and in-field
Assemble, troubleshoot, and stage artwork
Coordinate with team members to ensure that fabrication and installations are completed on schedule
Pack, handle, install, deinstall, clean, and document artwork and equipment
Prepare, clean, and organize shops, work areas, and exhibition sites
Load and unload vehicles
Travel to exhibition sites
Conduct equipment and materials procurement research and occasional errands
Complete timesheets, project logs, and special training, as needed
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others
Execute any of the above tasks outdoors, as needed
