Position Overview:
We're seeking a motivated software engineer to join our Product Data Management Organization at Autodesk. This team focuses on the front-end development of Autodesk Vault Professional. Autodesk Vault PDM Software is used by companies globally, including large enterprises, to manage engineering design data across multiple sites in different continents
Responsibilities:
Design, prototype, implement, unit test, and troubleshoot features according to product specifications
Deliver results that meet product specifications with a high level of quality and customer satisfaction
Design, refactor, and optimize source code to leverage object-oriented design, development, and code reuse effectively
Create effort estimation tasks for projects undertaken and ensure their completion on time, adhering to predetermined specification and quality standards
Work within a Scrum Team to provide solutions to market requirements that are both innovative and implementable
Work closely with Quality Assurance in testing, problem analysis, and resolution
Collaborate with the extended team of Software Developers, User Experience Designers, and Quality Assurance engineers across worldwide engineering sites
Provide input to technical publications and review documentation of new features
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
3+ years of experience in software development
Knowledge of development and customization with CAD software like SolidWorks, Creo, Inventor, AutoCAD is highly desirable
Excellent skills with C#
Experienced in object-oriented design and architecture
Self-motivated, possess initiative to get things done with minimal supervision, and demonstrate willingness to have an opinion and explain the rationale for it
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Quality mindset and comfortable working with colleagues across different time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with the .NET platform
Experience with various performance/profiling tools and techniques
Experience with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Experience working with any RDBMS like SQLServer, Oracle
Knowledge of C++ is a plus
