Argon STThe Boeing Company is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Associate Software Engineer, Scrum Master to join our team in Fairfax, VA. This dynamic team is focused on developing cutting-edge software solutions for SIGINT (Signals Intelligence) products for the Department of Defense, the Intelligence Community, and allied customers.
Our products intercept Radio Frequency (RF) signals, apply signal processing algorithms, distribute the processed results, and display it to operators. These systems are deployed to manned aircraft, unmanned aircraft, ships, submarines, and ground mobile platforms.

As a Scrum Master, this role requires leading Agile ceremonies and partnering with the Technical Lead and Product Owner for project execution, understanding web application design and architecture, user interface design, and best practices in software development. This role will also contribute to collaborative, cross-functional teams where software development, firmware development, hardware design, system integration, system engineering, and user testing all occur.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application development, particularly with expertise in React and TypeScript for front-end development, and Java for back-end services.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists with design, development, and maintenance of high-quality software applications for SIGINT products primarily using React and TypeScript.
Contributes to back-end services primarily developed in Java to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
Solves complex problems with innovative solutions while maintaining a strong attention to detail.
Actively leads Agile ceremonies, team processes, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. (Fairfax, VA)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
1+ years of experience working in Agile development environments, facilitating discussions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
1+ years of experience in software development, focusing on front-end technologies (React, TypeScript) and back-end services (Java).
1+ years of experience in web application design and architecture, with a strong portfolio of successful projects.
1+ years of experience designing and developing software for complex systems (i.e. Distributed Systems, Multi-Threaded and Multi-Process Applications, Client-server Architectures) and a solid foundation in computer science and software development
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate from an accredited course of study in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science or another related field.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and creatively.
Current Top Secret / SCI Clearance
Experience in SIGINT or defense-related software development
Familiarity with cloud technologies and microservices architecture (Docker, Podman, etc.).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jira, Bitbucket, Confluence, Jenkins, Artifactory, etc.).
Typical Education/Experience:
Associate (Level 2)
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g., Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
