Director, Embedded Intelligence

We seek a highly motivated, detail oriented, business-minded consultant with creativity, initiative, teamwork, commercial and project management skills to help drive our crisis management and security consulting business. The Director will have a dual role as 1) a consultant delivering end-to-end embedded projects for clients across the US market as required with a special focus on intelligence solutions as well as wider embedded project oversight and 2) a proactive business development resource across the intelligence and embedded consulting space both in the local market and across the US and Canada

Tasks and responsibilities

Client Delivery

  • Assist clients in solving complex intelligence problems and crafting flexible and sustainable organizational embedded approaches.
  • Act as a senior project manager for Control Risks’ embedded consulting services(assessing, designing, implementing and improving corporate intelligence
  • programs, capabilities and practices), including being the primary contact to the client and managing a delivery team.
  • Provide clients with expert support and insights on intelligence program excellence.
  • Work with client leadership teams to ensure that business priorities are represented in our embedded intelligence solutions.
  • Develop introductory, intermediate and expert intelligence training experiences that can ultimately delivered at scale.
  • Collaboratively scope complex and multidimensional projects with our clients bringing in diverse Control Risks embedded solutions as appropriate.
  • Lead and service multiple assignments as full case manager responsible for entire project cycle in intelligence embedded programs on as needed basis.
  • Support Principal and other ECE team leaders with engagement resourcing, budgets and invoicing.

Business Development

  • Proactively identify prospects and generate new business opportunities for Control Risks. This includes the development primarily focused on corporates
  • based throughout the US/Canada.
  • Work closely with account managers, ECS Leaders, and Geomarket Leaders in a consultative sales capacity to join existing client conversations as a subject
  • matter expert on intelligence and close new opportunities
  • Own business development cycle for opportunities identified, including large scale proposals and RFPs.
  • Establish relationships with new intelligence clients and grow relationships with existing clients
  • Author thought leadership on relevant topics building Control Risks and personal brands

Knowledge and experience

  • 10+ years of work experience in a global security intelligence organization or consulting firm.
  • Demonstrated experience in intelligence program development and optimization.
  • Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of policies, standards and procedures.
  • Experience with protective intelligence and threat monitoring programs
  • Experience in providing intelligence training both in-classroom and practical
  • Knowledge of best-practices in intelligence strategy, organizational structures, physical security, travel security, event security, executive protection programs, security training and awareness, security metrics and reporting as well as security incident management.
  • Knowledge of data-driven approaches to security program optimization
  • Experience in multiple industries and client operating environments preferred
  • Experience in management/security consulting preferred
  • Demonstrated success in the industry managing or designing executive protection programs preferred

The base salary range for this position is $180,000-$190,000 per year. Exact compensation offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
