Covalent is redefining how top industrial companies are qualifying their workforces and utilizing workforce data. We’re a fast-moving, SaaS startup building data-heavy tools that power the future of manufacturing and workforce management. Our platform enables supervisors and teams to make better, faster decisions with tools designed for frontline intelligence. We're now building new AI/LLM capabilities to unlock the next wave of operational productivity — and we need an experienced designer to help us lead the charge.
As our lead design hire, you’ll own design across the company — from shaping user experiences to prototyping new AI/LLM-powered concepts. In the short term, you’ll collaborate with product and engineering to rapidly explore, prototype, and validate high-impact features. Over time, you’ll evolve into the design leader for the organization, helping us build scalable, beautiful, and intuitive workflows for our users.
This is a rare opportunity to define not only the user experience of a fast-growing product, but also our entire design culture, system, and strategy.

At Covalent, we’re on a mission to revolutionize how industrial companies manage their workforces, and we’re looking for a talented Product Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to lead design initiatives that harness cutting-edge AI and machine learning technology to enhance productivity within manufacturing environments. As a key player in our fast-moving SaaS startup, your responsibilities will stretch from crafting user-centric designs to prototyping innovative AI-driven features. You’ll work closely with our product and engineering teams to rapidly iterate on high-impact functionalities, ensuring that our tools empower supervisors and frontline teams to make informed decisions. This position is not only about designing exceptional user experiences; you’ll also play a pivotal role in shaping our design culture and strategy, establishing a design system that aligns with our scaling vision. If you have over three years of experience in product or UX/UI design, are fluent in tools like Figma, and thrive in a fast-paced environment, this could be your dream job. Plus, you’ll enjoy full remote flexibility, competitive compensation, and unlimited PTO, all while contributing to a meaningful mission in the tech landscape. Join us in building the tools of the future at Covalent!
