Job Description

The superintendent is responsible for directly managing a project’s construction activities to meet specifications, delivering the project within budgeted cost, and by the scheduled completion date. The types of projects managed are complex to highly complex. This position is required to coordinate, plan, and supervise trade partners, subcontractors, equipment vendors, and other craft personnel on projects.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage project’s construction activities to meet specifications, delivering the project within budgeted cost and by the scheduled completion date
  • Responsible for on-site safety and quality
  • Lead or participate in project meetings, including OAC meetings, Daily Huddles, Weekly Foremen's meetings, Pull-Planning meetings, and Safety and Risk Management meetings
  • Coordinate, plan, and supervise trade partners, sub-contractors, equipment vendors, and other craft personnel on projects
  • Oversee construction activities with little guidance from senior-level field leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Science, or Engineering or equivalent job experience required
  • Minimum 3 years experience

  • Team-oriented individual capable of managing others
  • Demonstrated success in managing the construction scope on mid to large-sized projects
  • Ability to fully understand project specifications and identify deviations in the field
  • Superior planning ability, specifically in regard to Lean Tools for schedule, constructability, sequencing, etc.
  • Demonstrated capability with computer programs for project management, scheduling, safety, and reporting, such as Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), P6, MS Projects, or Hammertech

Additional Information

The pay range for a candidate selected for this position who is based in San Diego is typically $105,356 - $168,570 annually. The base salary range represents the low and high end of the salary range for this position. The selected candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and relevant experience. In addition, CRB offers a total rewards package that includes comprehensive insurance coverage as well as the opportunity to participate in one or more annual incentive programs based on company and individual performance.
