Sr. Group Manager, Executive Events

As a Sr. Group Manager, Executive Events at Databricks, you will be part of a high-growth tech startup with a collaborative culture. You will report to the VP of Global Events. You will work with your key global marketing stakeholders to develop the strategy for how Executive Event Marketing builds scale and goes to market in a consistent manner globally. You will own and help build the foundation for the mix of executive events executed globally to increase engagement, generate pipeline, and present Databricks into the market consistently. This role is pivotal in developing and executing high-impact executive engagement experiences, including exclusive events, roundtables, and bespoke programs for C-level audiences. 

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of executive-level engagement and a track record of delivering world-class event experiences. This management role will also oversee a team of high-performing event marketers and agencies delivering world-class programs at scale.

The impact you will have:

  • Established program strategy derived from key targets, historical performance, personas and field alignment  
  • World-class and on-budget execution of high-touch executive events (leadership summits, roundtables, and VIP experiences) through in-house, agency, and contractor resourcing
  • Scalable and efficient executive event program processes and kits that include guidance and deliverables for global execution
  • Consistent and impactful Databricks brand identity adhered to across program experiences and communication channels globally 
  • Aligned and integrated global event strategy and plan with leadership and key stakeholders across sales, product marketing, field marketing and executive leadership 
  • Inspired bar-raising team executing at the highest level while also receiving regular growth and development opportunities, coaching and mentorship
  • Regular performance and ROI analysis of programs against target account, engagement and pipeline goals
  • Proactive program optimization from Salesforce & AI/BI data to identify persona journey, trends and opportunities and make adjustments to plans and programs as needed.

What we look for:

  • 7+ years' experience managing events, including at least 3 years running executive events
  • Experience running other field programs beyond physical events (webinars, 3rd party event sponsorships, email campaigns, direct mail, etc.)
  • Experience building new event programs, documentation, and enablement of cross-functional teams at scale
  • Experience working with global, cross-functional teams
  • Experience holding event budget authority 
  • Experience having engagement pipeline-building responsibility
  • Experience with Tableau, Salesforce, Asana and Swoogo
  • Must be metrics-driven

 

Pay Range Transparency

Databricks is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role is listed below and represents base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles.  Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Databricks utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
