Product Engineer II - Maritime Production Mapping

Overview

In this position, you will be actively involved in ensuring the usability, quality, and functionality of ArcGIS to support realistic workflows and use cases. You will work to identify and define customer requirements and build and release high quality software.

This team supports the ArcGIS Maritime product. You will be part of a talented cross-functional team of dynamic and passionate engineers to deliver capabilities that enable our customers to make a difference in communities around the world. You will be part of a team that influences lasting contributions for communities with the web and mobile applications you create.

The Professional Services division is the consulting and implementation arm of Esri. We break ground in new markets, push the technology envelope, and ultimately deliver transformational solutions to high profile clients worldwide. The Professional Services organization is comprised of nearly 1,000 talented business and technical professionals who strive every day to help our users be successful.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of data automation, data migration, and database development projects in a variety of domain-specific fields and international business environments
  • Perform basic and advanced processing tasks using ArcGIS and other Esri products and extensions
  • Build databases from imagery and cartographic/digital sources; support the development of GIS database designs
  • Review, interpret, and utilize established production processes
  • Perform map production tasks
  • Write geoprocessing Python and SQL scripts
  • Coordinate workflow with project/technical managers

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities
  • Demonstrated experience with Bentley MicroStation and/or AutoCAD and data migration to geodatabases
  • Proficiency with the Esri product line, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Desktop and related desktop extensions
  • Experience with automated cartography, computer science, programming, and spatial analysis
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, computer science, or STEM related field

  • Experience using monitoring tools in real-world scenarios
  • Experience with ArcGIS Maritime, nautical charting, or similar products and areas
  • Experience with complex enterprise systems
  • Experience with data conversion/migration
  • Master's in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), geography, computer science, or STEM related field

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is
$76,960$128,544 USD
