HR Ops & Payroll

You’ll be working with the Talent Team.

We’re looking for a Talent Operations and Payroll Specialist who’s hands-on, detail-driven, and can keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. If you enjoy solving problems, managing systems, and ensuring everything from payroll to policies is on point, this role might be a great fit. You'll play a key role in shaping and streamlining core HR processes as we scale.

What you will do:

Payroll & Compliance

• Handle end-to-end payroll every month—fixed, variable tracking, final settlements, stipends, NAPS, and anything else to do with contract-related payments to people.

• Coordinate with finance and consultants to make sure all statutory requirements (PF, ESI, PT, LWF, etc.) are filed on time.

• Be audit and due-diligence ready: maintain clean documentation and handle any request for / checks on information and processes confidently.

• Monthly and annual manpower budget and tracking actual and budgeted, and support with Compensation & Benefits strategies as per requirements.

• Monthly payroll MIS and reconciliation report to Finance. Preparation of payroll data for investors as per requirements.

HRMS & Systems

• Lead the implementation and day-to-day management of HRMS.

• Take ownership of all people-related modules such as attendance, leave, performance feedback, and employee data.

• Liaise with vendors for any tweaks or fixes and make sure the system is always accurate.

Employee Helpdesk

• Be the go-to point of contact for employees regarding HR queries—payroll, policies, leave,

attendance, documentation, and more.

• Ensure timely resolution of employee concerns with clarity and empathy.

• Collaborate with relevant internal teams (finance, IT, admin, etc.) to resolve cross-functional concerns.

• Identify recurring queries and help improve internal communication or SOPs to reduce friction.

Talent Operations

• Draft and update HR policies, handbooks, and SOPs that are easy to follow and reflect how we actually work.

• Run onboarding and exit processes smoothly—right from documentation to background checks.

• Keep employee records up-to-date and consistent across all platforms.

• Step in as a backup for team members when needed to ensure there’s no disruption in daily operations.

• Help run performance reviews and feedback cycles without a hitch.

• Share HR communications with teams and make sure internal policies are followed.

• Drive audit processes and ensure compliance to local regulations and internal processes.

• Manage biometric systems and make sure attendance data is reliable across all locations.

The ideal candidate requires:

• Minimum of 5 to 7 years of experience in HR Ops—bonus if it’s in a fast-moving or startup environment.

• Strong working knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance.

• Experience with HRMS tools—setting them up, managing vendors, and making them work for you.

• Solid skills in Excel or Google Sheets (you’ll need it for payroll and data tracking).

• A sharp eye for detail and the ability to follow through on tasks

• Great communication skills and a knack for solving people-related problems calmly and clearly.
