As the Staff Product Designer in the Menu tribe at Gousto, you’ll lead the product design for how customers explore and choose from an ever-growing number of recipes. Your focus will be on solving complex decision-making challenges to help customers find meals they love—quickly and confidently.

You’ll uncover and deeply understand customer problems across the Menu experience, then design and validate solutions that enable the team to scale—tackling everything from usability gaps to the behavioural challenges of abundant choice.

Working closely with Product, Engineering, Data, and Brand, you’ll lead end-to-end design from discovery through to delivery—balancing usability, personalisation, and performance. As a senior design leader, you’ll mentor others, raise the bar in product thinking, research, and visual craft, and foster a collaborative, customer-first culture across teams.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Co-shape the vision and strategy for your squad’s product while considering the broader customer experience and business goals
  • Drive product discovery through research activities to uncover problems, identify opportunities, and validate hypotheses
  • Lead the creation of end-to-end design flows, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs
  • Collaborate with engineers to deliver seamless and impactful solutions quickly and effectively
  • Support and mentor junior designers to maximise their impact and professional growth

Who You Are:

  • A product design leader with a proven track record of delivering impact by leading both strategic and tactical initiatives
  • Experienced in growth-led environments—prototyping at pace to build confidence in hypotheses and solutions ahead of A/B testing
  • Strong in your craft, with a sharp eye for detail and a high bar for usability, interaction, and visual design
  • Fluent in user research, able to lead both generative and evaluative studies
  • Proactive and growth-oriented, always challenging yourself and your team to improve
  • Comfortable navigating complex, ambiguous problems, turning them into clear, actionable solutions
  • A strong communicator across written, verbal, and visual formats, ensuring alignment and clarity
  • A supportive and kind team player, fostering a culture of collaboration and emotional safety
