About the role
The Senior Payroll Manager will have full ownership of the payroll operations function including team and process, in order to ensure timely and accurate completion of Havas's end-to-end payroll processing and time management across multiple locations. You will be responsible for leading the function through audits and compliance following legislation and implementing new enhancements and processes. We are looking for a results-driven self-starter who is proactive in wearing many hats to embrace our entrepreneurial vales. You will work closely with our agencies under the Havas Australia umbrella including Creative, Media and PR, as well as the wider Shared Services Team including Finance, IT and the People Team.
The position will be based in our Sydney office and will require the selected candidate to be in a minimum of 3 days per week. This is part of our rewarded hybrid policy.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing a monthly payroll of over 300 employees
Manage end-to-end payroll processes, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, including superannuation and taxation.
Lead and mentor payroll staff, fostering a culture of excellence and professional growth.
Ensure accurate payroll reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. Prepare necessary documentation for audits.
Identify and implement opportunities for improving payroll processes and policies
Experience Required:
Minimum of 5 years' experience managing payroll for 300-500 employees across multiple Australian markets
Experience working in a global organisation will be highly regarded
Experience working with Rockfast Payroll or a similar payroll system
High level of attention to detail, diligence and able to meet deadlines
Understanding of payroll practices, compliance and Australian legislation
Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
