We’re looking for a proactive and analytical Operational Risk Analyst to join our team and play a key role in managing and improving the way we respond to risk. In this role, you’ll support operational resilience by driving incident management, root cause analysis, and control testing across our business operations.


Working closely with stakeholders across the business, you’ll help embed a strong risk culture, turning insights into action and ensuring our teams are equipped to manage risk effectively and confidently.


This role is based in our Sydney office, we work hybrid - 2 days in the office and 3 days from home.



Responsibilities:
  • Lead and support incident management activities across the business.
  • Conduct trend and root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to review incidents, provide actionable insights, and track resolution progress.
  • Deliver training and education on incident response, reporting, and root cause practices.
  • Assist in the testing and validation of controls to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain risk reporting and dashboards, providing clear insights for stakeholders and senior leaders.


What you'll need to be successful:
  • Minimum 2-year experience in an operational risk or internal controls function within the financial advice or wrap platforms.
  • Knowledge of Compliance, Legal & Regulatory requirements within the wealth management industry is essential.
  • Experience in IDPS and/or Superannuation products or platforms would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Ideally holds tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or other relevant disciplines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to engage with management, business, and other support partners where warranted.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and prioritise competing demands and achieve objectives.
  • Knowledge of AML, FATCA, CRS, QI, Outsourcing, Business Continuity and Fraud prevention highly desirable.
