Jito Labs is seeking a highly skilled Security Engineer to ensure the security and integrity of the future of decentralized finance on Solana. In this role, you will safeguard our systems, networks, and data from potential threats. The ideal candidate will have expertise in identifying and protecting against vulnerabilities, implementing security measures, including key and access management, building operational resilience of technological systems, and responding to security incidents in blockchain security. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security of both our infrastructure and applications. Responsibilities
  • Enhance security protocols to ensure alignment with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
  • Create, implement, and deploy strong security architectures and strategies to strengthen systems and networks against cyber threats
  • Perform in-depth risk assessments, threat modeling, and vulnerability analyses to proactively detect and mitigate potential security weaknesses
  • Manage and execute the deployment of security measures, including encryption, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control mechanisms via MDM
  • Lead ongoing improvement efforts to strengthen security procedures and response effectiveness, proactively addressing emerging threats
  • Collaborate with development teams to integrate security measures in the software development lifecycle


Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in blockchain security or cybersecurity roles
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Rust
  • Strong understanding of cryptographic principles, key management, and consensus algorithms
  • Experience with smart contract auditing tools
  • Knowledge of security frameworks, vulnerabilities, and exploits in blockchain ecosystems
  • Hands-on experience in threat modeling, penetration testing, and security incident response
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
