Position Background
As we aim for long-term value creation, we are strengthening our Corporate Development team to focus on strategic initiatives such as M&A, capital strategy, IR, and financial planning.
We are seeking a Corporate Development Manager who can work closely with our executive team to drive high-impact projects that shape the future of the company. This role offers a significant growth opportunity, including a potential career path to the CFO role.
Position Overview
This role will lead a broad range of responsibilities across M&A strategy and execution, mid-to-long term business planning, investor relations, and treasury management.
You will work at the heart of a global SaaS business to build and communicate a compelling equity story, while developing the foundation for sustainable and non-linear growth.
Lead M&A initiatives from sourcing and due diligence to valuation and post-merger integration
Develop and manage medium- to long-term business plans and KPIs
Build and maintain relationships with equity investors (VCs, PEs); lead IR material creation and communication
Engage with financial institutions and support capital raising activities
Manage treasury operations including cash flow planning and asset management (e.g., U.S. Treasuries)
Requirements (Must)
Candidates must have the following experience or equivalent:
3–7 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or strategy consulting (Associate to VP level)
Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, and business planning
Strong documentation and communication skills, including interaction with executives and investors
Native-level Japanese and business-level English proficiency
Experience working in a startup or pre-IPO environment
Exposure to international teams or global investors
Knowledge of treasury and asset management practices
Involvement in IPO preparation processes
Highly professional with strong integrity and trusted external communication skills
Able to bridge both business and finance with a strong sense of ownership
Aspires to become a CFO and is eager to gain comprehensive exposure to corporate strategy
Comfortable with ambiguity and excited to take on challenges in a fast-paced, global environment
