Job Summary:

 Title: Specialist, Digital Marketing & Strategy - Distribution

Reports to: President of Roc Nation Distribution and VP, Digital Marketing & Strategy

Location: New York, NY (On-Site, 5 days a week)

The Role:

Roc Nation Distribution is looking for a Digital Specialist to provide administrative and digital marketing support overall and serves as a key member of the Roc Nation digital team servicing Distribution clients. Responsibilities will include coordinating and supporting the execution of web, social and UGC elements of an artist’s digital marketing campaign, enabling digital storytelling and audience development.

This will include digital promotion campaigns, publishing content on Roc Nation social accounts, liaising with the digital team on key initiatives & maintaining artist web and social platforms. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate and work collaboratively across various business verticals including Marketing, Branding, Creative, Research, A&R, Philanthropy and Content Operations

  • Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities, managing time, gaining cooperation of others, monitoring progress, problem-solving and making adjustments to plans in real time

  • Produce and post digital content - including text, images, videos; liaise with artist and their team to develop artist generated content

  • Support and manage new artist site builds and launches; maintain and update artist sites, social media profiles & Roc Nation properties

  • Help larger team grow artist awareness, site traffic and content syndication through third party editorials, feature placements, social networking strategies, influencer marketing, marketing programs, D2C initiatives, contests/sweepstakes and exclusive content promotions to drive revenue

  • Work with creative strategy and project management teams on creative digital content, optimization, routing, and scheduling

  • Manage shared department documents to ensure information is up to date

  • Actively contribute ideas effectively with team members in brainstorms/sprints

  • Support paid media amplification strategies throughout Roc Nation O&O social channels

  • Assist with digital coverage and content capture at events

The ideal candidate will have…

  • BA/BS degree in Business/Digital/Marketing or equivalent

  • 1-2 years related digital experience

  • Strong oral/written communication skills

  • A deep interest in social media platforms, industry trends, new technologies and digital music services

  • Basic knowledge in marketing and branding, advertising and promotions

  • Extensive knowledge of and passion for the music, sports & entertainment industry

  • The highest attention to detail

  • Candidates must be willing and able to work flexible hours

  • The drive to take initiative, work independently and be accountable while also working as a team player who is collaborative, positive and flexible

  • The ability to independently manage one’s time and prioritize multiple tasks in order to meet associated deadlines

  • The candidate must be an incredibly quick-thinker and an adept problem-solver

  • The ability to work in a highly demanding environment while being able to navigate varying personalities and work styles with grace and tact

  • Knowledge using basic audio, photo and video editing programs

COVID-19 vaccination series and booster shot are a mandatory requirement for this position.

$52,000.00 USD - $65,000.00 USD
