Job Description

The Golf Retail Shop Attendant is responsible for giving the highest customer service and maintaining the golf shop in an appealing manner at The Cascades Golf Course.

Responsibilities

General Duties:

  • Enthusiastic greeting of customers (by name if possible)
  • Display conduct in an appropriate manner always in accordance with the Omni Hotels and the PGA of America
  • Working knowledge of operation (36 holes, practice facility, etc.)
  • Render professional advice, opinions, assistance, and services as required.
  • Perform duties and meet requirements for sales, rentals, tournament golf leagues, and services which the Director of Golf, Head Golf Professional, and Assistant Professionals deems necessary.
  • Book starting reservations
  • Promote the interests of the resort in providing service to the guest.
  • Assist in presentation of golf shop
  • Assist Merchandise Manager with any inventory counts.
  • Maintain and balance daily cash register.
  • Provide a customer friendly environment.
  • Ability to answer any questions related to resort.
  • Handle registration of players.
  • Any other duties as assigned by management 

 

Tools and Equipment: Computer and printer, telephone, photocopying machine, radio, log book, file folders, file cabinet, and facsimile machine.

 

Working Environment: Interior of Golf shop, in normal office conditions, mainly behind the counter, with limited travel to the hotel.

Qualifications

  • Friendly, outgoing, and enthusiastic: high comfort level engaging with customers
  • Ability to be proactive
  • Ability to stand the majority of the shift
  • Ability to bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift up 15 to 35 lbs
