Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Agile Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. As a Scrum Master, you will be responsible for facilitating agile practices, ensuring smooth implementation of Scrum frameworks, and empowering cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products on time. You will act as a servant leader, guiding teams in the process of continuous improvement, fostering collaboration, and removing any obstacles to help achieve sprint goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead daily standups, sprint planning, retrospectives, sprint reviews, and backlog refinement sessions.
Guide and coach team members in Agile principles and Scrum practices to foster self-organizing and high-performing teams.
Actively identify and remove any blockers or obstacles that hinder the team's ability to meet their sprint goals.
Serve as the main point of contact between the team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication.
Drive and support a culture of continuous improvement by identifying areas for optimization and facilitating regular retrospectives.
Monitor team progress, ensure transparency of work, and provide insights on team performance via burndown charts, velocity tracking, and other relevant metrics.
Assist the Product Owner in refining and prioritizing the product backlog to ensure it is ready for sprint planning.
Help scale agile methodologies across teams and promote best practices for Agile delivery.
Identify risks early, work with the team to address them, and escalate as necessary.

*Position is contingent upon Spring 2025 award*

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility to obtain a polygraph.
BA/BS and 8+ years of experience; Masters and 6+ years; an additional four years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.), including roles, ceremonies, and artifacts.
Excellent problem-solving and facilitation skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
Familiarity with software development processes and tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, or similar tools).
Comfortable with change and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with scaling Agile frameworks such as SAFe or LeSS.
Familiarity with DevOps practices.
Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), or equivalent Agile certification is highly desirable.

Target Salary Range

$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
