ABOUT THE ROLE


Over the last 18 months, Outlier has created a custom high school dual enrollment platform that enables high schools across the globe to offer our curricula as dual credit, with tools to monitor and oversee the programs locally. We’ve amassed >100 high school partners across innovative partners like Summit Public Schools and NYC Public Schools, and we’re just getting started!


We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Sales Development Representative to join our Partnerships department. In this role, you will play a crucial part in driving our growth by identifying and engaging potential high school partners for our dual enrollment programs. You will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships, qualifying leads, and setting up meetings for our sales team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a mission-driven organization and make a significant impact in the edtech industry.


This is a remote full-time role that will report to the Director of Sales.


WHAT YOU’LL DO


  • Conduct research to identify potential high school partners for dual enrollment programs.
  • Reach out to high schools and educational institutions via phone, email, and social media to introduce Outlier.org and establish initial contact.
  • Qualify leads by understanding their needs, challenges, and interest in our dual enrollment offerings.
  • Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team, ensuring a smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all outreach and lead-generation activities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective outreach strategies and messaging.
  • Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach strategies and adjust as necessary.
  • Provide feedback to the sales and marketing teams on trends and insights from client outreach.


WHO YOU ARE


  • 2-4 years of experience in sales development or a similar role, preferably in the edtech industry.
  • Proficiency in using Salesforce, Hubspot, and CRM systems to manage leads and track sales activities.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish relationships with potential partners.
  • Knowledge of the education industry and experience with high school partnerships and dual enrollment programs is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proactive and go-getter attitude.
  • High level of personal and professional integrity – Desire to learn and grow.
  • Passion and Grit with a Growth mindset.


COMPENSATION


The annual base salary range for this position is $55,000-$75,000; however, the base salary offered may vary depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
