ABOUT THE ROLE


Side is seeking a detail-oriented Payments Specialist to join our team! In this role, you’ll ensure timely and accurate deposits and disbursements, making sure our agents get paid seamlessly. You'll play a key part in maintaining the integrity of transactions against real estate standards while reconciling payments efficiently. We’re looking for a proactive problem-solver who delivers exceptional customer service and maintains clear, professional communication. WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
  • Manage communications across email, phone, and Slack to support agents.
  • Investigate, triage, and resolve payment discrepancies or escalate when needed.
  • Match deposits to transactions and reconcile payments accurately and timely.
  • Proactively resolve missing payment statuses, mismatches, or errors.
  • Address and resolve issues related to uncashed checks.
  • Review and validate agent compensation payments and splits for accuracy. 
  • Ensure transactions meet Brokerage standards and are fully executed.
  • Document procedures and create how to guides; train down as needed.
  • Analyze data or processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Support audits, month-end reconciliation, system implementations and special projects.


WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU A STRONG FIT FOR THE ROLE?
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data management and reconciliation.
  • Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and intellectually curious.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Adaptable to change, able to shift priorities to meet business needs
  • Experience with systems like Workday, Zendesk, and Modern Treasury is a plus.

$28 - $33 an hour
