We are where innovation meets purpose; and where your career can meet purpose as well.  We are looking for a DevOps Engineer responsible for building and maintaining scalable processes to build, package, and deliver software products to our customers.

This role is a blend of DevOps Engineering and Software Developer Experience Engineering. Your Mission, Should You Choose to Accept

As a DevOps Engineer, you will build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that take source code from the software development team and create artifacts and products that the customers can use.  You will work on streamlining our development lifecycle to automate tasks and provide our customers with continuous delivery of our software.

What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain high-performance, reliable continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
  • Automate repeatable tasks to improve the software development lifecycle, enhancing developer productivity and satisfaction.
  • Utilize cloud services (AWS preferred) to deploy pipelines that integrate with code repositories, artifact storage solutions, and production environments.
  • Build robust processes to trigger CI/CD workflows automatically upon branch updates in version control systems (e.g., GitLab).
  • Troubleshoot and resolve build issues to ensure high reliability of the pipeline.
  • Integrate and test security frameworks and automated testing frameworks to ensure code quality and compliance.
  • Continuously improve CI/CD processes through research, design, and implementation of new tools, methods, and infrastructure.
  • Identify, track and report metrics that measure the reliability and performance of CI/CD pipelines.
  • Promote, manage, and support an Agile organization and structure to manage and complete project milestones and deliverables.
  • Lead efforts to establish best practices for DevOps and developer productivity within the engineering organization.

Capabilities that will enable your success

  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in Software Engineering, preferably with experience in Developer Experience (DevEx).
  • 2+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering
  • Proven experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines.
  • Demonstrated experience using CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, Jenkins, Travis, GitHub Actions, or CircleCI.
  • Experience deploying pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS (preferred), Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and automated processes triggered by code changes.
  • Proficiency with shell scripting tools such as PowerShell and Bash.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience deploying and maintaining containerized software using Docker (e.g., Alpine, Windows images).
  • Familiarity with TypeScript, React, JavaScript development, and web application deployments.
  • Experience with semantic release and blue/green deployments.
  • Experience signing Windows desktop applications. (e.g., Globalsign, Digisign)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated proficiency in architecting automated pipelines that improve the software development process.
  • Experience with container orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm).
  • Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (e.g., CloudWatch, Grafana).
  • Experience with event sourcing within a cloud environment (e.g., Eventbridge, Lambdas, Azure Functions)
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Certifications in DevOps and cloud platform technologies.
  • Experience with Electron Build code signing automation.
