About the Opportunity

As the Market Development Manager, Domains, you drive revenue growth and customer success by defining and prioritizing products and services that bring in new resellers, drive customer loyalty, and grow the business. Benefiting from your strong commercial focus and relationships with colleagues and customers, you will follow technology trends, customer challenges, and competitor offerings to seek out new opportunities and innovations for our business. You will then define requirements and roadmaps in collaboration with business and engineering teams. Finally, you will define and employ metrics for the business, using data to measure success and drive improvements in our platform and offerings. Your curiosity about the market and our customers, and impulse to get things done, make our customers and our company more successful!

Main responsibilities

  • Identify and prioritize features and initiatives for domain services to drive customer acquisition, retention, and overall profitability.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Design teams to translate business requirements into platform features and user interface designs that meet business goals.
  • Develop and prioritize domain projects, aligning project priorities with business objectives.
  • Act as the main point of contact for capturing platform feedback and leading initiatives to improve the domains platform and user experience.
  • Partner with Data Analytics to analyze customer data and derive insights that inform product decisions and business strategies.
  • Supervise industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies. Identify new commercial opportunities, innovations, and areas for differentiation in the domain name market.
  • Support collaboration with engineering, design, and business teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of product updates and features.
  • Communicate our business vision and goals to internal and external partners.

Key Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years in the domain industry, ideally in a commercial role
  • Domain Industry Expertise: Experience in domain registries or registrars, with knowledge of multiple platforms.
  • Product and Project Management: Experience leading product development and/or cross-team projects.
  • Leadership and Relationship Management: Experienced leader, skilled in championing relationships to advance business goals.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Authority at prioritizing features that drive customer happiness and margin growth.
  • Commercial Savvy: Strong market and competitive analysis skills to find opportunities for revenue growth.
