Position Purpose:
The Decarbonization Intern will support the Municipal Water Contract Operations team in advancing decarbonization initiatives, with a focus on energy optimization in water and wastewater treatment facilities. The candidate will have visibility across many functional groups (engineering, operations, maintenance, etc.) and will take on projects from initiation to completion during the extent of their time with the team. This role provides hands-on experience in sustainable operations while contributing to the company's environmental goals. The ideal candidate has an interest in GHG reductions strategies and is ready to apply foundational skills in energy optimization in the world of water and wastewater operations.
Internships are focused on learning and exposure to fundamental business processes and procedures.
Student Exploration and Experience Development (SEED) is a 12-week internship opportunity at Veolia for students to gain hands-on experience in sustainability and ecological transformation. They will work on real-world projects, receive mentorship from industry professionals, and participate in workshops and networking events. The program aims to nurture talent, promote innovation, and foster meaningful connections between students and industry professionals. Overall, the SEED program provides students with the skills, knowledge, and connections needed to make a positive impact in the industry.
