Description

This is a full-time, direct placement role at Citadel Roofing and Solar.

Company: Citadel Roofing and Solar is a well-established fast growing fully integrated roofing, solar, and energy storage company with more than 30 years of contracting experience. We maintain a stellar reputation of service excellence to new construction homebuilders, commercial building owners, and homeowners throughout Northern, Central, and Southern California. In all cases, reliable execution and customer service are at the heart of our operations.


Opportunity: Citadel Roofing & Solar is seeking a dynamic and experienced Commercial Solar Business Development Manager to drive growth in the California market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in solar energy sales and a proven track record of developing new business opportunities with commercial and multifamily building owners. Target project sizes should range between 100kW-1MW+.


Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new sales leads for commercial and multifamily solar projects throughout California

• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including property owners, developers, and decision-makers

• Create and present compelling solar proposals and financial benefit summaries to potential clients

• Conduct site evaluations and work with the technical team to develop customized solar solutions

• Manage the entire sales cycle, from lead generation to contract negotiation and closure

• Analyze market trends and identify new business development opportunities in the commercial solar sector

• Collaborate with internal teams, including estimating and project management, to ensure smooth project execution

•Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals


Compensation and Benefits: Citadel Roofing and Solar offers a competitive compensation package. The compensation is carefully considered based upon several factors including the position, industry background and/or experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus

• 5+ years of experience in solar energy sales or business development, with a focus on commercial projects

• Strong understanding of solar PV technology, project financing, and relevant regulations in California

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills

• Proven ability to build and maintain client relationships

• Experience with CRM software, Helioscope, and Energy Toolbase; proficiency in Microsoft Office

• Willingness to travel throughout California as needed

• Proactive and integrity driven

• Knowledge of commercial solar equipment and solutions: panels, racking, inverters, and batteries

• Knowledge of all system types: roof mount, ground mount, carports, etc
