Job Description
AECOM is seeking a highly qualified Construction Manager for immediate placement in San Diego, CA. This critical role demands a professional with extensive experience and a commitment to excellence in project management and oversight.
The core responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Execute work requiring advanced independent evaluation, selection, adaptation, and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
- Serve as the primary project lead in the field, overseeing and directing the construction management staff with authority and precision.
- Assume full responsibility for the supervision of field staff while providing crucial support to office personnel.
- Demonstrate and maintain a comprehensive understanding of project documentation standards and exhibit exceptional coordination skills to ensure seamless project execution.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS + 6 years or more of relatable or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- California PE License.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience.
- Experience working in Caltrans or Railroad ROW.
- Highway widening experience, Structures experience, Tolling Experience, and/or Railroad experience
- Technical Writing skills.
- Experience on public works transportation projects with construction value $20M+.
- Excellent Communication Skills.
- Experience as Resident Engineer and as Office Engineer.
- Strong understanding of industry standard processes for submittals, RFI’s, change orders, and pay applications.
- Experience writing and processing change orders.
