Primary Responsibility:

• Responsible for serving as the strategic interface with the European (EU) region for business/IT strategy development, solution discovery, service management, risk management, and Business Relationship Management (BRM). Collaborates with EU business leaders, global IT community, customers, and suppliers to define, justify, and deliver IT investments and services that achieve EU business objectives and provide competitive advantage. Leads and aligns corporate strategy with EU business and technology strategy, including information delivery, system design, monitoring, security & risk, infrastructure, development, and operational support.
• Reports directly to the CIO and is part of the European Senior Leadership Team

What you’ll Do

• An active member of the global IT leadership team to influence strategic business decisions regarding technology use.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with key stakeholders to ensure that IT solutions are in alignment with business goals and company vision
• Ensuring the security, integrity, and usability of all data and information systems through robust cybersecurity measures and compliance.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge of the key business processes with a focus on warehouse distribution systems, the organization's core IT competencies, systems, and applications. Works with internal and external customers to ensure continuous customer satisfaction.
• Managing and directing EU IT resources in understanding business strategies and operations.
• Coordinate technical planning for large-scale systems initiatives.
• Plan and design complex, multi-tiered systems that run mission-critical business applications.
• Oversee the planning of short-term and long-term application architecture strategies.
• Leads the vision, strategy, and direction of the technology team. Provide highly valued strategic consulting-level support and guidance for key IT initiatives as an advocate, mentor, and change agent.
• Communicate decisions, priorities, and relevant project information regarding business requests, projects, and initiatives to the appropriate levels of staff; align and calibrate the organization’s technology deployment strategy with business strategy.
• Implement and manage the initiatives within his/her area(s) with accountability for results. Maintains a detailed understanding of IT, both operational performance and progress of ongoing development, playing a leading role in problem resolution.
• Manage the budget and forecast for the IT functions and is accountable for variances in the expenditure and departmental spending, as well as for operational and capital forecast and expense.
• Manage technology purchases and services provided to multiple internal customers and strive to be a valued and preferred IT service provider to all business partners. Create a culture of personal responsibility and accountability.
• Provide leadership that teaches, inspires, and promotes employee empowerment and career development. Reviews and evaluates the work of subordinate staff and prepares performance reports.

What Experience and Education You Need

• 10+ years of experience in positions of increasing responsibility IT in a $1B+ complex global business (High Tech/Manufacturing/Warehouse/Distribution industry preferred).
• Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
• Requires deep understanding of project management methodologies, SDLC, and tools.
• Requires strong domain knowledge in Distribution/Warehousing/Manufacturing functional areas and the supporting technology architecture, and experience in implementing related technology applications.
• Hands-on experience with Tier 1 WMS/TMS Solutions and Operation Technology (Automated Warehouses),
• Oracle ERP deployment with experience.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven track record of building and motivating high-performing teams
• Experience managing budgets, vendor negotiations, and resource allocation
