Counselor I - (CCI)

As a Counselor I at Amity Foundation, your primary responsibilities will include delivering treatment programming services, conducting group and individual sessions, and engaging participants in the Integrated Substance Use Disorder Treatment Program (ISUDT). You'll implement the scheduled program curriculum while reinforcing participation expectations. Additionally, you will develop treatment plans, maintain participant records, and collaborate with various staff to ensure a supportive transition for participants back to the community.

To qualify for the Counselor I position at Amity Foundation, you need a minimum of 6 months of experience providing substance use disorder treatment services as a certified AOD Counselor. You must possess a current AOD Certification from an organization recognized by the DHCS or registration with the BBS or another AOD certifying body depending on your education level. A solid understanding of substance abuse and its effects, along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, is also essential.
