Job Description

As Export Control Manager (f/m/div.) you ensure compliance with export control regulations based on the entity’s risk profile, implement and monitor the requirements of the global standards and procedures
 

  • You identify required changes to business models in order to ensure the continuation of business within the legal framework related to export control, tariffs and permanent establishment law
  • Consequently, you align required changes and globally defined processes with internal stakeholders, corporate functions, legal advisors and coordinate and ensure the implementation of them
  • As an expert with a broad view, you define mitigation strategies within a legal framework to overcome strategic risks in close cooperation with business responsibles and drive initiatives to ensure the sustainability of your actions
  • You supervise the implementation of export control procedures regionally/locally, including the determination of export control classification and application for our products based on EU and US law, diligence checks related to business partners being blacklisted, the issuing of instructions and training of employees in market-facing functions (customers and sourcing)
  • You support contract management and legal validation for sales and purchasing in close collaboration with internal legal advisors and engage in reporting to local authorities and coordinators in case of local external and internal audits

Qualifications

  • PersonalityWe are looking for a professional with excellent collaboration skills, result orientation and very good and clear communication
  • Experience and Knowledge: You need to possess technical knowledge in the field of export control and sanctions compliance and professional experience in the field of foreign trade
  • Qualifications: In the recent years you demonstrated your knowledge of export controls including export control classification and your willingness to continuously inform of current legislations, their changes and adjust processes where necessary; Your know-how in the field of tariff legislation, permanent establishment law and business contract law gives you a strong foundation for your actions; First experience in the world of semiconductors would be beneficial
  • Languages: Fluent in English, ideally also in German
  • EducationMaster´s degree in law, economics or comparable qualification
