  • Role Summary
  • As a Lead UX Designer with a specialization in Salesforce, you will guide your team in blending form with function, driving the creation of design narratives that elevate the user experience within the Salesforce ecosystem. You will connect the overall strategic vision of Salesforce projects with day-to-day execution, leading by example through hands-on work and appropriate delegation. Although your background and focus are on the craft of UX and product design with a specialty in Salesforce implementation, you have gained significant experience leveraging the skills inherent in one or more design disciplines such as visual design, design research, strategy, and content.

  • Project Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with and oversee multidisciplinary teams that include design researchers, UX designers, visual designers, developers, and product or project managers with a focus on Salesforce projects.
  • Leverage Salesforce Lightening Design System to develop user-friendly, intuitive interactions
  • Provide UI mock-ups (Figma) that demonstrate customizations to Salesforce Lightning Design system in order to better suit user needs.
  • Present work to clients through the lens of a user-centered narrative, guiding clients to understand how design decisions impact the intended user experience. Coach more junior members of the team on presentation skills.
  • Effectively communicate user-centered solutions to engineering team, and engage in a productive dialogue that balances feasibility and limitations along with pushing boundaries to drive a more user-centered design solution.

  • Leadership & mentorship responsibilities
  • Lead more junior designers on the team to understand the subtleties of interaction design patterns and the importance of design consistency.
  • Lead more junior members of the team around project priorities regarding UX design, and delegate tasks appropriately.
  • A visible thought leader in the Brillio Design Studio, you regularly present during internal/studio knowledge-share events, building your internal eminence), and becoming a beacon for and mentor for more junior designers.
  • Design Leads are likely to take on formal management responsibilities with direct reports (including conducting goal-setting, career growth coaching, and performance reviews with more junior designers)

Education
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, UX / Interaction Design, Computer Graphics, Art & Design, or related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing Salesforce UX design projects.

Experience
  • 6-8 years working with clients on digital products and experiences, with a focus on Salesforce, as demonstrated through a well-designed portfolio that showcases several Salesforce design projects.

  • Software Tool Use: Proficiency with industry-standard digital user interface design tools like Figma and Sketch, and prototyping capabilities therein. Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and exploratory use of emerging technologies for generative imagery and art.

  • Craft-specific technical skills

  • Proficient, capable and constantly improving:
  • User-centred Design: Proficient in user-centered design, with knowledge of how to gather and prioritize user feedback and requirements to create Salesforce interfaces that cater to the user's needs and expectations.
  • Heuristic Principles: Skilled in applying heuristic principles to assess and improve Salesforce interface designs, identifying common usability problems and suggesting solutions.
  • Interaction Design: Demonstrable grasp of interaction design, effectively using established Salesforce user interface patterns to create intuitive and familiar user experiences.
  • Design Systems: Knowledgeable about Salesforce Lightening Design System, applying this knowledge to create designs that meet industry expectations and user preferences.
