Meet the team behind this journey

The Pricing Strategy team sits at the intersection of Product, Sales and Product Marketing orgs to improve pricing and packaging practices and drive revenue growth, so be ready to work cross functionally and collaborate with people from all levels at a global scale. Success in the role requires establishment of strong, close business partnering with multiple functions.

As a Pricing Strategy Manager, you will be responsible for developing long-term pricing strategies as well as run regular processes to improve monetization for DeepL products. You will play a critical role in finding and developing a shared understanding of pricing across different organizations being able to influence how product and business strategy is shaped.

Your responsibilities

  • Frequently, your responsibilities will stretch into broader strategic priorities based on company needs and opportunities. Specific responsibilities will include:

    • Design pricing and overall monetization strategies and recommendations utilizing a data-first approach using inputs from internal and external sources.

    • Lead innovation monetization and feature allocation exercises across multiple product tracks identifying what goes where and why.

    • Lead pricing activation with sales and customer-facing teams to improve pricing, packaging and yielding practices.

    • Design and lead market research exercises and cadences to improve internal information, decision making and enablement.

    • Transform data into insights into actionable items, communicating and driving cross-functional impact along the way.

    • Partner with sales, product marketing and product teams driving the process to identify and prioritize products, features and initiatives, leading projects to success.

Qualities we look for

  • Self-starter able to drive own work with minimal supervision.

  • 6+ years of working experience, preferably in international environments.

  • 3+ years experience in pricing, customer and market research: Competitive, VRIO, Perceptual Mapping, Conjoint, MaxDiff, Van Westendorp, Win/Loss, etc.

  • Experience enabling commercial teams, being able to create programs from beginning to end.

  • Experience running multiple projects simultaneously in a matrixed organisation.

  • Experience in multi-product organizations launching new or redesigning existing products.

  • Strong collaborative mindset, being able to drive and influence decisions without authority.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with and influence the decisions of different levels of management.

Even better if you have

  • 4+ years of SaaS pricing, packaging, research, customer-facing or strategy experience.

  • 4+ years in sales and product-facing roles.

  • Formal pricing strategy, product marketing, research or product management experience.

  • Additional European languages.
