How you'll make an impact:
• Provide legal and compliance guidance to the company including providing direction and guidance on project teams to execute tactical projects and/or initiatives. Such guidance may include/require conducting legal research; recommending courses of action; reviewing, drafting, and negotiating agreements; reviewing and interpreting legislation; managing litigation; patent application drafting, prosecution, trademark clearance analysis, risk assessment, address compliance issues and implement corrective actions and executing subject matter specific projects.
• Provide feedback and guidance to staff on assignments and assigned areas.
• Provide routine legal guidance to other attorneys in department.
• Apply his or her knowledge in following procedures or in determining which procedures to follow or determining whether specified standards are met.
• Provide training and guidance to employees on legal and compliance -related matters, fostering Edwards culture.
• Other incidental duties.
What you'll need (Required):
•Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent in University: Law Degree or equivalent and 8 years of Legal/business knowledge
•Other: Relevant industry experience (e.g., medical device, pharmaceuticals, etc.) or in highly regulated environments
•English and Portuguese perfect command; Spanish is nice to have
•Based in Sao Paolo, since this is a hybrid role with 30% of travelling involved.
