Greenlife Healthcare Staffing is currently seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to fill an opening with a School located in North Carolina

Schedule of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • This is a Full-time position
  • 738 hours per school (two schools)
  • The SLP shall be available from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM EST
  • Monday to Friday, except for Federal holidays or when the Government facility is closed for administrative reasons

Responsibilities of the Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP):

  • Provide direct speech and language therapy services in accordance with the student's individual education program (IEP) goals.
  • Provide indirect (consultative) services to the staff and parents/sponsors, and students in accordance with each student’s IEP goals including the following:
  • Participating in meetings and assisting in the development of IEPs for students found eligible for speech and language therapy services.
  • Participating in school-wide screenings, which may include observations, informal assessments, and administration of criterion-referenced assessments and providing screening results in written format.
  • Sharing screening results as appropriate with specific students’ teachers and or Student Support Teams, Case Study Committees, and parents/sponsors.
  • Performing observations in the target schools and in other DoDEA schools located on the installations.
  • Writing evaluation reports to include diagnostic findings and their educational implications.
  • Performing case management duties to include tracking of timelines and review dates.
  • Participating in Child Find activities at the school level and in joint agency Child Find activities once each semester.
  • Maintaining confidential special education files to ensure compliance in alignment with the 1342.12 of the Department of Defense Manual (DODM) and the Privacy Act of 1974.
