Job Description

IFS Service Management is the market leading service management solution, a leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for the 7th consecutive time.  Our solution empowers our customers to deliver service excellence and optimize workforce efficiency allowing them to embrace Service as a strong and profitable revenue stream.  

We deliver solutions for every part of the service lifecycle, from product management, contracts, warranty and billing through mobile field service, customer engagement and self-service, and remote assistance. Our service management capabilities manage complex use cases and accelerate digital transformation goals.  

In order to join the Service Management team as a Software Architect , You need to have a strong technical leadership and apply successful strategies, implements improvements to engineering methodologies and practices across the product portfolio. You need to be excellent at listening and communicating, and drive the spread of technical skills and knowledge throughout the IFS. If you consider yourself as a person who will drive initiatives and continuously expand your functional and technical domain knowledge keeping yourself up to date on latest trends, we want to hear from you.

As a Software Architect you are expected to:

  • Provide technical leadership for design and development of software meeting functional & nonfunctional requirements.
  • Ensure maintainability, security and scalability in software components developed using well-established engineering/architectural principles.
  • Reengineer software solutions in line with requirements in the roadmap.
  • Ensure software quality complying with shift left quality principles.   
  • Conduct peer reviews & provide feedback ensuring quality standards.
  • Engage with requirement owners and liaise with other stakeholders.
  • Prepare design documentation and technical presentations.
  • Contribute to improvements in IFS products & services.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of industry experience with strong software product development mindset.
  • A degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology.  
  • Previous working experience with IFS products or Enterprise grade software is a definite advantage. 
  • Ability to envision the big picture and work on details.
  • Have strong software architectural, technical design and programming skills.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt different technologies/work environments in a distributed Global team setup.
  • Hands on experience in OOP concepts and design principles.
  • Sound knowledge in Java or .Net Framework, and REST APIs.
  • Experience in relational databases & Oracle (PL/SQL) exposure is preferred.
  • Excellent communication and multi-tasking skills along with an innovative mindset.
