Chief Development Officer

Our client is searching for a strategic and visionary Chief Development Officer to join our executive team. This role will be pivotal in guiding the organization’s growth through effective development strategies and initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning and implementation of development strategies that align with the organization’s mission and goals.
  • Oversee all fundraising efforts, ensuring a diversified and sustainable funding base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, community leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with teams to identify funding opportunities and prepare compelling grant proposals.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and report on success metrics across all development activities.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the development team, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.
  • Represent the organization at public events and meetings to enhance visibility and attract support.
  • Proven experience as a Chief Development Officer or in a senior development role with a successful track record in fundraising.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Experience in developing and executing successful fundraising strategies.
  • Knowledge of fundraising software and donor management systems.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
