Job DescriptionDepartment of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Office of Biometric Identity Management (OBIM) Biometric Support Center (BSC) contract. OBIM’s database, IDENT, is one of the largest fingerprints responsories in the world containing over 250M identities. The BSC team provides 24 x 7 around the clock fingerprint comparison services to federal, state and local law enforcement agencies, medical examiners offices and other agencies.Job DescriptionThe Forensic Analyst Intern administrative tasks will be assigned approximately 16 hours a week. Tasks are as assigned but not limited to: assisting in completing daily, weekly and monthly statistical reports; review, create electronic file jackets and log all incoming casework; conduct inventory assessments and disseminate reports, pull FBI prints utilizing ULW, review and disseminate Lead Track Reports and create tenprint cards from the customer’s repository. The intern will be trained in proper methods of conducting fingerprint comparisons following the ACE-V methodology and how to complete a fingerprint transaction review and correction. Upon successful completion of their training program, the intern will be required to work independently providing the services listed above with accuracy.The Internship will be for 6 months. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.Temporary employees generally are not eligible for BAE Systems benefits, but can elect to participate in the 401(k) savings plan.
