Senior Product Designer, Engagement

Noom is a leading global digital health company focused on helping people live healthier lives through behavior change, clinical, and community support. We’re a mission-driven, high-growth organization that’s powered by science, technology, and world-class talent.

At Noom, our Product teams start by deeply understanding user motivation and psychology, then build and test innovative ideas at scale while staying true to our mission of helping people lead healthier lives. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer to focus on deepening user engagement with behavior change activities—like content consumption, habit tracking, and goal-setting. You’ll play a key role in shaping user journeys that are not only effective but genuinely motivating and delightful.

The ideal candidate is curious, open-minded, and thrives in a fast-paced, experimentation-driven environment. You bring a high bar for craft, an eye on competitive trends, and a strategic mindset that connects user needs with business impact. You’re comfortable operating across the full design stack—from product strategy and user flows to polished visual design—and are passionate about building experiences that are both user-centered and results-driven.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead the design efforts for a critical portion of our app strategy.
  • Apply design principles to enhance user acquisition, engagement, and retention rates.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Design and Research Peers, and other stakeholders to define design requirements and iteratively develop solutions and tests that improve user satisfaction and drive growth.
  • Create design artifacts including flow-charts, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Noom’s design system, ensuring consistency and scalability across various touchpoints of the product.
  • Provide feedback to peer designs in peer critique and contribute to broader design topics (i.e. architecture discussions).
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitors, design best practices, and artificial intelligence capabilities.
  • Present design rationale, concepts, and results to cross-functional teams, and leadership.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship as appropriate.

What We’re Looking For:

  • 6+ years experience as a Product Designer.
  • Demonstrable record of shipping successful consumer products.
  • Bachelor's degree in Design, HCI, Interaction Design, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
  • Experience with experimentation, working backwards from metrics and user goals.
  • Experience designing for repeat engagement.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing your ability at multiple levels of design abstraction (e.g.; product strategy, flow, features, UX, visual)
  • Proficiency in Figma.
  • Experience with gamification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively, balancing business goals with user needs
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapting to changing priorities

What Makes This Job Amazing:

  • You’ll help millions of people lead healthier lives every day
  • You’ll experience huge learning & professional growth opportunities. Noom believes in supporting you; we’ll cover the cost of books, courses, conferences… you name it!
  • You’ll become part of our transparent, high-performing, and close-knit team
  • You’ll be part of our employee-centric culture, with a focus on work/life harmony
  • You are likely to learn a tremendous amount in a short time. For those who value and excel in transparent, high-intensity, and high-impact environments, there is significant opportunity for advancement.
