Sales Manager
 

Position Summary
 

MPP Orora is seeking an experienced and talented Sales Manager. Do you have an entrepreneurial spirit and a desire to contribute to a growing business focused on selling custom corrugated in the Texas market?  This is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial candidate who wants to belong to something special… a chance to grow with the business.

 

  • This position reports to the: VP of Sales
  • Travel Requirement: Regionally in Texas
  • FLSA Status: Salaried Exempt

 

What You’ll be Responsible For

 

  • Directs staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales program
  • Analyzes individual sales representative’s sales to formulate a plan to assist in reaching of established goals
  • Involved in product simplification and standardization to eliminate unprofitable items from sales line
  • Represents company at trade association meetings to promote product
  • Coordinates liaison between sales department and other sales related units
  • Prepares periodic sales report showing sales volume and potential sales
  • Directs product research and development
  • Recommends expenditures, and appropriations for research and development work
  • Assists with daily sales problems
  • Maintain communications between management and sales representatives
  • Submits Quarterly Monthly Evaluation and Activity Report
  • Maintains own sales
  • Develop new business
  • Conduct meetings with their sales team
  • Interviews potential sales reps
  • Conduct quarterly monthly call reviews with assigned sales person
  • Performs other duties and/ or responsibilities as assigned
  • Has the authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system
  • To identify and record any problems relating to the product, process, and quality system
  • To initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels

 

What We’re Looking For
 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School degree or equivalent work experience in related industry
  • Minimum 5 years of Sales experience within the corrugated manufacturing industry and Sales management experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to sell and lead a sales organization.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to add, subtract, and multiply, and divide.  Ability to use whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs 
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers
  • Ability to solve practical problems.  Provides leadership, motivation and positive attitude to all coworkers both in his/her department as well as the Division
