We have offices in San Francisco and San Diego for those who prefer hybrid or office settings. Oura employees in other major cities (like Boston and New York) occasionally gather informally at local co-working locations.

We are looking for a dedicated Senior Commercial Counsel, Retail and Supply Chain with a deep passion for commercial transactions, who takes pride in being a trusted advisor to and problem-solver for their clients, and flourishes in a fast-paced setting with like-minded colleagues. 

What you will do: 

  • Advise cross-functional teams on all aspects of commercial transactions with a focus on supporting our Retail and Supply Chain teams. 
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts including MSAs, SOWs, SaaS agreements, marketing agreements, partnership program agreements, retail agreements, distribution agreements, research agreements, NDAs, and data use and licensing agreements.
  • Counsel on risk, advise on mitigation strategies and ensure business goals are accurately reflected in agreements.
  • Partner with Finance, Privacy and Security and Product to support a wide range of commercial programs. 
  • Contribute to the design and continuous improvement of standard forms, training materials, legal processes, and systems to help scale the business and maximize efficiency and velocity.
  • Support the Company in solving complex legal issues and advise on general legal matters, as necessary.

This is a remote US role with a slight preference for candidates based in San Francisco, San Diego, or Boston. 

We would love to have you on our team if you have:

  • J.D. and active member of a state bar in good standing.
  • At least 8+ years of experience at a large law firm, or in-house legal department  with a dedicated focus on drafting and negotiating complex commercial agreements.
  • An advanced understanding of commercial concepts and superior negotiation skills.
  • Experience advising clients in the technology, healthcare or healthcare-adjacent spaces.
  • Collaborative team player with a positive attitude

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous in-house experience at a growing technology company.
  • International practice experience in the healthcare or wearable device field.
  • Active membership in good standing with the California State Bar.
  • Familiarity with Ironclad, DocuSign, and other contract management tools.

Oura takes a market-based approach to pay, which may vary depending on your location. US locations are categorized into tiers based on a cost of labor index for that geographic area. While most offers will be closer to the starting range, successful candidates' pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, internal peer equity, and market conditions. These ranges may be modified in the future.

  • Region 1 $170,000 - $203,000
  • Region 2 $160,000 - $193,000
  • Region 3 $150,000 - $183,000
