About The Role
As an AI/ML Engineer at Powerline, you will be instrumental in developing, optimizing, and scaling AI solutions that enhance renewable energy asset performance. You will collaborate closely with a highly skilled engineering team to design and implement AI algorithms across diverse domains, from forecasting to generative AI, deploying them in real-world, high-value energy projects.

Key Responsibilities
Research, design, develop, and analyze AI/ML algorithms for a variety of diverse problems related to the company’s business.
Develop scalable AI solutions, collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of the AI solutions with the rest of the tech stack.
Lead efforts in improving model performance, continuous analysis and understanding of the results, and addressing performance issues.
Stay informed on the latest trends in AI, renewable energy, and energy markets to implement innovative solutions.
Requirements
5+ years of experience in building AI/ML models with a proven track record of delivering business value.
2+ years of technical leadership experience in AI/ML.
Proficiency in Python, and AI/ML packages (e.g., Pytorch, Jax, TensorFlow).
Experienced in AI/ML algorithms for sequential data (timeseries and/or text) modeling, analysis, and prediction.
Familiarity with MLOps and building AI/ML systems end to end.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams, including software engineers, optimization engineers, and energy market experts in a distributed working environment.
Strong Plus
Experience in energy markets, renewable energy technologies, or energy storage systems.
Experience with NLP, LLMs, and agentic systems.
Experience with physically informed neural networks, physical loss functions, or digital twin.
Experience with timeseries forecasting, especially in energy markets.
Experience working in the startup environment.
