Product Designer

About Prelude

Prelude is on a mission to improve onboarding and trust for our customers. We help companies verify and onboard users more efficiently — with less friction, greater security, and better conversion. Our flagship product focuses on authentication, dynamically selecting the most effective channel (SMS, WhatsApp, etc.) for OTP delivery while blocking costly spam attacks that traditional providers often overlook.

Although we were founded just two years ago, we’ve already achieved healthy financials and strong product-market fit. And we’re just getting started. Authentication is only the first step. We're building the platform for trust at scale and are excited to shape the future of onboarding and user verification — with you.

About the Team

Prelude was started by four former members of the Zenly team (acquired by Snap in 2017). The idea was born from firsthand experience: SMS authentication is expensive, unreliable, and prone to abuse.

We believe small, focused teams do their best work in tight collaboration. That’s why we work in person, from our Opéra-based office in Paris, where ideas move fast and feedback loops are tight.

About the Role

As a Product Designer at Prelude, you’ll be the creative force behind the tools that power customer authentication flows. You’ll collaborate across engineering, product, and customer teams — turning ideas into beautiful, usable designs that ship fast and scale well.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-moving, highly collaborative environment with lots of ownership and autonomy.

What You’ll Do

- Own end-to-end product design for the Prelude Dashboard and other customer-facing interfaces.

- Work cross-functionally to gather requirements, run design sprints, and rapidly test ideas.

- Translate internal feedback and user needs into high-quality design proposals and prototypes.

- Partner closely with engineers to ensure design intent carries through to implementation.

- Develop and evolve our design system to scale with the product and team.

- Stay in direct contact with customers to conduct interviews and gather insights.

- Proactively improve UX across the product — even where it's not explicitly requested.

About You

- 3+ years of experience designing web apps or SaaS products.

- Expert in tools like Figma; comfortable going from low-fi to pixel-perfect.

- Strong grasp of UX and visual design fundamentals.

- Builder mindset — you love seeing your work live in the hands of users.

- Skilled at synthesizing team and customer feedback into clear, actionable designs.

- Comfortable with ambiguity and eager to help shape product direction.

- Fluent in English (French is a plus).

- Ready to work in person with the team in Paris (3 days/week in-office).

Nice to Have

- Experience designing for technical users (APIs, dashboards, developer platforms).

- Comfortable with prototyping tools (Framer, code, etc.).

- Familiarity with responsive design, accessibility, and performance best practices.

- Interest in branding or marketing design.

What We Offer

- Competitive compensation + generous BSPCEs

- Hybrid model: 3 days in-office, 2 remote + 4 weeks/year work-from-anywhere

- High-end gear and design tools

- Private healthcare, Swile meal vouchers, and pension contributions

- Annual offsite — last one was in Le Pradet

- A tight-knit, talented team obsessed with product and customers

Interview Process

Intro Call – 30-minute chat to get to know each other.

Design Challenge – Show us how you approach real-world problems.

Onsite Collaboration Session – Come to the Paris office and jam on a product scenario.

Informal Chat – Dive into your background, process, and what excites you about design.

If you’re excited about owning design in a high-impact product and helping define the future of authentication, we’d love to hear from you — even if you don’t meet every single requirement.
